a month agoThis has been the best Hyatt Place that I have stayed at so far in the Florida area. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The rooms are good, except for the air conditioning which like many Hyatt’s I find is too cold. If they ever remodel the rooms, I’d suggest they put the sinks in the actual bathroom instead of right next to it, to avoid unnecessary disturbances at night when your partner uses the bathroom and washes their hands. They offer a shuttle to and from Busch gardens from the hotel and to USF. They also offer cookies and popcorn throughout the day evening. The pool looked nice as well. They have a little market with some snacks and offer cookies and popcorn throughout the evening, the breakfast is really good for a Hyatt Place, with a waffle machine, biscuits, donut holes, bagels, cereal and more. Would recommend and stay again.

2 months agoI have the pleasure of having a weekend stay with my twins and just myself. It was my first solo trip with them, so I juggled a lot, but the staff were super friendly, super helpful and accommodated me in anyway they can. Bree And Michael at the front desk were so amazing. They always ask me how my kids were and we enjoyed our day. And just had genuine conversation with us and made us feel so comfortable. The cleaning crew were also very nice and accommodating. At any time I sent trash out of the room. They were quick to take it away and provide fresh linen. This is definitely in place. I’ll be coming back to stay again not to mention. It was very quiet and everything was clean.!

2 months agoRoom was super small and had an odd odor upon walking in. For a Hyatt Place facility, this one didn’t measure up. We were looking forward to having a cocktail at their bar, but it was closed for re-painting. Wish we would have known that before we returned for the night. The bathroom in the room was the kicker. It was so tiny, once inside, you had to either step into the shower, or shimmy to one side of the toilet or the other to open the door. Definitely did not measure up to other Hyatt Place hotels that we have stayed in other cities.

2 months agoIt was a decent stay, however, it could have been much better. Parking was $12. a day, plus tax! Why are you charging guests to pay to park at your facility??? Also, we heard slamming doors, constantly. We were told blueberry muffins and biscuits and gravy were now on the breakfast buffet; however, they were absent last Sunday. No full length mirror in the room and the closest ice machine was on the 3rd floor. We will not book any future stays at this establishment. We come down here every year.

2 months agoI am writing to share my disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Hyatt Tampa/Bush Gardens. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of the standards I expected for the price. Several issues impacted our stay: - Facilities: The pool was dirty, which discouraged my children from using it. Additionally, the hotel appears to be in need of significant updates, as the current condition does not reflect the images on your website. - Staffing and Service: There was frequently no one at the front desk. Despite the 24/7 food service advertised, we experienced significant delays and conflicting information when ordering dinner at 7:00 PM. After being told the order would be late and later discovering the employee had gone on break, we were forced to cancel our order. - Communication: We were provided with the incorrect end time for breakfast, causing us to miss it and incur additional costs elsewhere. - Transportation: On Tuesday, we took the scheduled shuttle to Busch Gardens. Although an employee named Rochelle was very helpful and provided a contact number for our return trip, no one answered the phone after four attempts. We were ultimately forced to pay for an Uber to return to the hotel. Because of these collective issues, I cannot recommend this establishment and do not plan to stay here again.
