3 months agoThe Ray Hotel Delray Beach offers a fun and lively rooftop experience. We had a great time enjoying a gorgeous night with live music and a really nice atmosphere. Cocktails were good and the overall vibe was upscale and enjoyable. The only odd part was being served canned beer unopened, without a glass, which felt a bit unusual for a hotel of this caliber. Aside from that, everything else was very good and it’s definitely a great spot to check out in Delray Beach.

4 months agoI want to start by saying The Ray Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Hilton really delivers a boutique-style experience here with modern, stylish design. Aesthetically, I was very impressed. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the property. The front desk experience was especially disappointing. Multiple staff members wore AirPods while speaking to guests, which felt careless and unprofessional. When we requested a simple room tidy up at 4:30 PM, we were told “if we can, we will, but no promises,” despite having our tidy up button turned on. That response alone was surprising for a hotel of this level. We also found old raspberries in our refrigerator from a previous guest, which points to a lack of proper room inspection before check in. To be clear, the housekeeping staff themselves were not the issue. This felt more like a management and operations failure than a problem with the maids. Lastly, the beds were extremely firm. I understand mattress comfort is subjective, but they were noticeably uncomfortable and added to the overall disappointment. Overall, The Ray is a gorgeous property with huge potential, but the higher level service and attention to detail seriously missed the mark. For a hotel in this price range and category, I expected much better.

4 months agoWe hosted our wedding day and welcome party at The Ray in November 2025. The venue is in a perfect location just off of Atlantic Avenue in Delray and in the up-and-coming Pineapple Grove area. The space is very well maintained, the rooms are very nice, and the aesthetic is perfect for a modern and upscale Florida vibe. The food served during the reception was outstanding and cooked perfectly, some of the best “banquet” food we have ever had. The service staff was kind and helpful. With the exception of a few minor hiccups, the events ran smoothly and came together for a wonderful wedding weekend. Similarly to other reviewers here, we will share that we did have pretty consistent issues with The Ray’s event sales and planning team. In our 10 months working with The Ray, we had four separate points of contact that we were transitioned between (some of which were planned and some not planned). With each transition came various degrees of loss of information, leading to us needing to rehash details or provide screenshots of previous conversations in order to move forward with things that had already been promised to us (if working with The Ray, ensure everything is documented in writing). To make things worse, it was very common to not hear back from our points of contact for a week or two at a time, even after multiple followups. We even went 1 week+ without responses when we were only two weeks out from the wedding weekend. These organizational and communication issues were consistent amongst nearly all team members. We regularly had to break things out and organize separate details ourselves so The Ray team would understand and address each individual detail. All of this led to a lot of unnecessary worry and us temporarily losing confidence in the hotel’s ability to pull off a successful event. Although the few minor errors that did appear during the wedding weekend could have been avoided, most things came together in the end. The issues seem to all be fixable, and we hope The Ray does improve to allow future couples to enjoy the amazing venue with fewer headaches than we had.

a month agoWas coming to Boca for an enjoyable time decided on the Ray as it was 800 bucks a night and we needed two rooms , I figured how could it be bad —got here had to wait which was fine went and had a cocktail at the bar. That was fine at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Finally got into the room unpacked and left and came back after dinner. Tried to go to the roof type bar and everything was reserved -empty tables, but we couldn’t sit there as they were awaiting the arrival of their unknown guests, more important than us that were spending $100 a round of drinks then moved onto going to bed. Woke up the next morning. Found the sheets to be filthy with brown marks and worn out rough picked like laying on sand rubbing the back of your legs —have stayed in hotels throughout the world this place for the money and fictitious descriptions is a rip off.

5 months agoWe chose The Ray Hotel for an anniversary staycation, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The lobby hit us immediately with an overwhelming, artificial perfume smell—so strong it felt like it was covering up something unpleasant. Check-in was shockingly rude. We had an email confirming a complimentary upgrade from a deluxe room to a premier room, yet the front desk agent dismissed me with a condescending tone, repeating the same line—“we have you in a deluxe king”—without any attempt to look into the issue or even acknowledge what I was saying. It set an awful tone for the stay. The room itself was unacceptable. It was muggy, smelled strongly of mold, and never cooled down the entire night. Between the humidity, the odor, and the heat, it was incredibly uncomfortable. Given how rude the front desk had already been, I didn’t even bother trying to address it with them. The next morning, I asked a different front desk staff member a simple question to confirm we were heading to the correct café for our complimentary breakfast, and once again I was met with attitude and dismissiveness. Truly unbelievable. For a hotel that markets itself as upscale, the level of hospitality, professionalism, and basic guest care was shockingly poor. We were extremely disappointed and will absolutely not be returning.
