a month agoLocation is great everything nearby withing walking distance. Had some of the best pizza across the street. Hotel is clean and service is great, anything we needed they brought it to us quickly. The condo we stayed in was perfect, very spacious, needs more blankets for the beds but otherwise very well appointed and very clean. Check in was easy and smooth. Pools were clean and good sized...I wish the indoor pool was heated, it was very cold. We have enjoyed our stay!

a week agoTook the kids here for a cheer competition across the street. Busiest I think the hotel has been for a while. This is a timeshare type facility, so if you can avoid their hard sales pitch....it's a great spot. Note Daytona is what you make of it, so trust your gut when making any decision here!

3 months agoWyndham’s Ocean Walk has some very lovely apartments/units. We find the 1 bedroom units very spacious for two. However, if you are fortunate to acquire a 2-bedroom, that’s a bonus (two bathrooms). We have visited Ocean Walk for about 6 years now and have had the benefit of both types of rooms making it one of our stops every year for 4-6 weeks at a time. The units come with a large kitchen that has a variety of appliances, cookware, utensils - everything you could need for cooking and eating in during your stay. There are, of course local restaurants where you can dine out if and when you don’t want to cook. At check-in, they do offer you coupons to use in and around the area. There have been some major modifications since last year which are positive in my opinion. Check in and concierge are now in separate locations. The folks do an awesome job in trying to get you to attend an owners’ meeting and/or update meeting. It’s their job, so I don’t take offense with their push to encourage you to attend one during your stay. You can always decline the offer (but many visitors want the free gifts offered) so they consider attending. When and if you need amenities they, the staff, have been excellent in fulfilling your requests…again, the units are well-maintained. For longer stays, you can request 'housekeeping' and/or ask for additional supplies when needed. The patio is well maintained, pretty roomy with easy access to the beach. However, there is no convenient way for the staff to stop guests from hoarding the lounge chairs. The sunset views are awesome! The view of the beach activity is interesting and you can observe a lot from your balcony without even leaving your unit. It has been observed that folks arrive early (when the pool opens), placing their personal effects on chairs and returning an hour or so later, possibly after breakfast. Not cool, but it happens. On warm, sunny days, that's a BIG problem. Parking requires a card key, as well as exiting the garage to get to your room on the designated floors. Parking during events, can be a problem, so get back early in the evening unless you want to park across the street. We have had both the good and bad experiences with the parking garage. The South Tower is not managed by Wyndham Destinations, take that for what it’s worth as folks with BIG trucks/vehicles tend to think they have the right to take up two parking spaces. When parking is tight, that's a problem. We have, however, enjoyed this stays and the interaction with the friendly staff. We continue to visit every year and each year is a better experience than the previous.

a month agoThe first thing you notice when you walk in is the beautiful smell. Check-in was fast, and then you had to go down the hall to get wristbands, which were your keys for your room. The rooms are large and can easily fit 6 people. The washer and dryer in the room was very handy. Beach towels are in your room. There is a bar on the pool deck and you can get food until 6pm. The place was at 99% capacity and there are not enough chairs for everyone. It is a high rise so in March the pool deck is in shade by 3pm.

in the last weekPerfect location, right on the beach. Great views! The room did have everything one needs, even for the beach. All the employees were super friendly! Great female security out front! Wish I got her name. Always smiling! Great energy! The size of the room was great for a family of 6. Two kids and 4 adults. Again Great view. There are a few issues with the room, but hopefully, you spend your time at the amazing pools, jacuzzi, lazy river pool, or the beach. The owner needs to use bleach to clean, way too much dust ...so bad that it's even on the walls. All the tvs had only 1 channel and no backing to remotes. It's definitely time for fresh paint and some updates.
