Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Rooms Avg $279/Night

I really liked this hotel. The room was nice and had solid amenities like mouthwash, toothpaste, etc. My room had a nice view of the bay. Staff was friendly and helpful, would open the door for you and things. One random thing I really appreciated was the quality of the towels. They were really soft and pleasant, which is a far cry from most hotels. I didn’t love the breakfast, strawberries were pretty sad looking and overall pretty bland, but I had a burger/cocktail later and those were great. I really appreciate Hyatt overall and this was a good example of why.

Easy check in and out. Only paid parking, 25 a night for self parking and 35 for valet. There is plenty of parking, but the spaces are kinda small, i drive a f150 so it was pretty tight. The room was nice and the refrigerator was broken but they replaced it in less than an hour. The pool was nice, didn't eat in the hotel but was not far from eateries.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about this hotel. If I could give 10 stars I would… but first, Luisa! She was an absolute Angel! We arrived from a rental experience gone horribly wrong, Luisa was the kindest human and did everything in her power to ensure we had a great stay and were able to relax during our stay! Our room was immaculate, the food at both restaurants on property were incredible. Oystercatcher’s had incredible options for both adults and kids, the filet mignon, scallops and burger were all delicious! Food service at the restaurant downstairs was fast and friendly and the breakfast buffet in the mornings is absolutely worth a trip every morning! Make. The. Time. Pictures don’t do this place justice but here are a few of the highlights! Thank you Grand Hyatt for saving our trip!

Overall, excellent hotel. Some dirt, etc. in corners of bathroom, but overall very clean. Great atmosphere. Hotel gym is pretty good as far as they go, they do have a full set of dumbbells up to 50lbs and several weight machines—including a great cable machine. Staff were excellent. Would return.

It's mostly a great hotel & the other positive reviews will tell you all about the upsides. However, keep a very very close eye on your bank account after staying here. Not only did I get charged $45 for two "free" drink vouchers that they handed out to everyone checking in, but they also have a hidden $30 resort fee that they won't inform you of at the front desk. $75 extra down the drain for no good reason whatsoever. That resort fee is very questionable too, since some of their amenities have been in complete disrepair for a while with no signs of ever being fixed. I'd recommend checking out any other nice hotel if you're staying in the Tampa Bay area, since they might not try to steal from you elsewhere the way they did here.
