a month agoMaggy checked us in and did a fantastic job explaining everything even helped get us into a great view room. Our waitress at 1601 in the hotel was phenomenal with the kids in the resturant. Went above and beyond to make the experience a great stress free one. Beautiful, clean rooms

2 months agoDowntown Miami Hilton was a great place to stay! We only stayed one night and had to check out really early for a flight back home. But, if we ever come back, we will absolutely stay again! The pool area and smoking area are so beautiful! We were able to get a room upgrade due to our Hilton status. The customer service from the staff members was exemplary! Especially from supervisor Cathrine M at the front desk! She went so above and beyond and made sure my husband and I were fully taken care of! Thanks so much Catherine! She called us when our room was ready, got us an early check-in, a room with a view, told us places to go in the city (gave us a map and directions) and was just so kind! We absolutely appreciated her! The hotels location is close to the airport, cruise port, and the Bayside Marketplace.

a week agoThis was a business stay for a conference. There were many positive aspects to the stay. The hotel was clean, staff were agreeable and accommodating, and the conference food was good. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was extravagant, but for $35/pp you expect more than a typical buffet. One over the top feature was the honey displayed in a frame still on the comb. We thought that was a treat. There were dozens of other high-quality items on the breakfast buffet including some local fare. Less attractive points, the halls on the personal room floors and the bedrooms felt dark, even with ample lighting options. I'm not a fan of dark brown wallpaper and the art was limited and lacked visual appeal. Some of the conference rooms were very noisy. It sounded like there was a concrete floored hallway that ran behind the walls and someone was pushing a heavy cart through the corridor. The biggest drawbacks were that the pool closed at 7 pm even though it was Miami and the temperature was in the 80s even after dark, and the hotel seemed to spray perfume in the lobby because I choked almost every time I walked through. We weren't impressed with Miami either. It felt like a less-friendly, hotter version of Portland in the 90's. Overall, I wasn't unhappy with our stay but I probably wouldn't repeat it for personal travel. 7/10

a month agoThe lobby and pool area are beautiful! The corner room we had was very spacious and comfortable! The room view was amazing!!!!! Get the corner room on a high floor people! The bathroom needed some tlc and it was dated. Great location to Biscayne Street and the cruise terminal.

a week agoDisappointing Stay – This Hilton Location Needs a Major Overhaul. My recent stay at the Hilton Hotel Downtown Miami was extremely disappointing. This property is in serious need of a full renovation. The hallways are dark and dingy, giving off an unwelcoming and outdated feel. The room itself was unacceptable—there was a stale odor, fresh stains on the bed sheets, and pubic hairs in the shower. The shower curtain smelled like mildew, confirming that the room was not properly cleaned before my arrival. The condition of the public areas was no better. The furniture on the street-level lobby is horrendously worn out, and the overall aesthetic feels neglected and far from what you’d expect from a Hilton-branded hotel. A fresh coat of paint and brighter décor could go a long way in improving the atmosphere, but as it stands now, this property barely deserves one star. It’s clear that the prices are based strictly on location, because the rooms and experience felt more like a roach motel than a reputable hotel chain. I would not recommend this location until significant improvements are made.
