a week agoStayed for the night to attend the PBR event. Service was excellent from start to finish. The view from our room was spectacular and we especially appreciated that the huge sliding door opened! Also, we particularly enjoyed the impressive selection of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres at the Regency Club. We opted to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and view rather than the onsite restaurants for dinner. Room service breakfast was simple to order and quick to arrive. The only issue we ran into was with the valet service. It is run by a 3rd party vendor and not the hotel. They are highly disorganized and we found a couple of the staff to be extremely rude. We will absolutely make this our go to lodging anytime we are in Jacksonville for an event.

a month agoStayed here for several days in January for a conference, with the family. First, we requested a crib and it was brought up promptly and worked well. We opted for the riverview room for like ten bucks more a night and it was worth it as the river view and bridges are beautiful. The rooftop heated pool was amazing (open 6 am to 11 pm). Despite some other reviews about elevators slow, we had no issues. We rented a car and self parked for $36 a day, across the street. Little expensive but was very convenient, safe and easy for us. Front desk was polite and helpful. Our cleaning lady on the 10th floor, Juana Montilla was very friendly and nice. Overall Great hotel location downtown. Saw 1 or 2 homeless people a block away, but they posed no worry. Would recommend this hotel.

2 weeks agoView was great. Room was good, standard but good mattress and very good pillows (not too big, not flat). Water pressure wasn't great. Service was great. We had a very tight timeline between arrival and the symphony concert. Because it was Valentine's Day, one of the hotel restaurants was reserved for guests of the hotel. It made everything easier and more relaxing.

a month agoExcellent Globalist service from Regency staff. Dedicated customer service line at checkin. We were upgraded to a River View room and I requested club access, but the club is closed on the weekends. The view was fantastic! Staff were AMAZING! Anna at the front desk, Nephi at the lounge, The hostess at the breakfast buffet, and xxx at the gift shop. The food at the buffet and the lounge was delicious - except for their clam chowder - not very tasty and a bit watered down. They have a 24 hour marketplace with Starbucks coffee and a nice heated rooftop swimming pool. No hot tub is available. Didn't have time to eat at Morton's Steakhouse that is attached to the Regency. I wish we did because it always looked busy. Overall the hotel is a bit dated and the rooms show their age, but the location is amazing for sports fans! Golf cart taxis are waiting outside if you don't want to walk to any of the stadiums. Next visit we'll try their club suites and Morton's!

2 weeks agoThey charge you for EVERYTHING!! The room I booked wasn't ready, so they gave me a different room and charged me an extra $60 (only realized after reviewing my invoice). They charge $34 PER NIGHT for parking, after charging over $200/night for antiquated rooms. And when I walk into the room, it's way too hot. Turned on the AC and it never got within 5 degrees of what I set it, and kept getting warmer. The TV was outdated and wouldn't stream anything. (Props to Jerome in maintenance, though). And who thought it is a good idea to not use fitted sheets on the beds?! Sheets were sliding all over the bed. No microwave in the room -- you have to use the communal one in the ice room. Great service, great location, but that doesn't help me sleep better. You DO NOT get your money's worth and they will charge you every chance they get.
