Southern Oaks Inn Rooms Avg $75/ Night

Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice breakfast, good location and price. We were greeted by friendly staff who knows the city and cares about the guests. The walk-in shower and comfortable beds tell us that someone has recently invested money in this property. The AC hum kept the room comfortable and masked street noise. The parking fee includes a hotel shuttle to downtown and a local beach (we didn't use it, but seems like a plus). We were very happy with this choice.

Room was nice and clean. Not the newest , but well kept and clean. Tons of people with dogs. The dog run was very nice. Breakfast was simple but well done (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bagels/toast, yogurt, cereal, fruit cups). Better than an average chain hotel where everything seems microwaved. We enjoyed the pool, and the location is pretty good. Not in town, but easy to get into town and easy to drive to beach or some of the attractions and resultants just north of town. The shuttle is well worth it to get to town (or beach upon request). The water in the area (the whole town) does not taste great but was easy enough to go across the street to get some bottled. The soap for the shower wasn’t the fanciest. So bring you own if you don’t like the liquid pump kind. Great stay for 3 nights. 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd found a gem. This place is truly amazing, and a huge part of that is thanks to the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help us enjoy our stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable – a welcome respite after a long day of exploring. It's clear that attention to detail is a priority. We particularly appreciated the convenient shuttle bus service into the heart of town. Not only did it save us the hassle of parking, but the driver was fantastic! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great tips for navigating the area. Breakfast was another highlight, with a good variety of options to satisfy everyone in our group. There was something for every taste. But what truly sets this place apart is the extraordinary staff. Throughout our entire stay, they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their helpfulness and genuine smiles made all the difference and really elevated our experience. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and exceptionally welcoming place to stay. We can't wait to return!

We had a nice two night stay at Southern Oaks Inn. We booked here sue to their pet friendly policy so we could bring our senior dachshunds along with us mainly. We were very pleased with this property. They a truly the BEST pet friendly hotel we have stayed at in Florida. The room was very spacious and gave us plenty of room for the small crate setup for our boy so he felt comfortable on this trip. They have a great dog run area that is fenced off for the dogs to run off leash. We didn't use it since our two really don't like and are a bit afraid of bigger dogs. There is plenty of grassy areas around the hotel to walk your dogs and give them time to walk around. The property provides a nice breakfast buffet in the morning from 0700 to 1000 and was very nice. They also have a really beautiful pool with a shaded area to relax. The best amenity they provide is a shuttle that will drop you off downtown just outside of the Old Town area. The driver in the morning was great in explaining how the shuttle worked and where to get back on later in the day.

Withholding one star just because check in is at 4 pm and the bed sheets are a bit papery. But this hotel is an amazing value for the price. Nice clean pool, cold AC, decent complimentary breakfast and coffee, fridge and microwave. Plus for $10/day the shuttle will bring you to the Old Town or the beach, runs every 20 minutes from 8 or 9 in the morning to 10pm. No pests in the hotel either. The premises are very clean and well maintained. A really good value for a good price. I will definitely stay here again next time I come into town.
