Room was excellent - balcony/beach view - and the beach here is unbeatable! Gorgeous white sand and even in mid-winter, a touch of the famous emerald green waters. Restaurant okay but nothing great. Nice bars and wonderful pool areas. Waterfall bar looks to be amazing but was closed for repairs during our winter visit. Other nice pools open, though. Only slight negative with the room - bathroom has rainfall shower, which is great if you want a complete shower with hair wash every time, but not the best if you're trying to not get hair wet!

When booking make sure you note whether or not if breakfast is available with your room. We the adults; were covered but not the kiddos! So double check on that. The staff at breakfast were so lovely. Super friendly and food was good. The front desk service was okayy. They were helpful.

Let me start off by saying the location was awesome, it was right on the ocean with resturants On-site or within walking distance. The aquarium was right down the road and walkable. The staff overall was nice with the exception for the gentlemen checking us in Friday evening. He acted like he would rather be doing anything else but checking in people. The down side was room we stayed in, had sand in the bed, crumbled food on the floor still, and the refrigerator in the room did not work. We were unable to connect to Chromecast due to no signal. The parking was not a great a situation but we managed.

Location was great, right on the Beach and near things to do. Rooms, well that's an entirely different picture, and it's not the best in the album. While the hotel under went a renovation several years ago, the hotel as a whole suffers from extreme wear and tear and what seems to be a lack of pride in the property. The property as a whole is worn, dirty and not well kept. I am a hotel guy, and have grown up working through the Marriott chain, and am often perplexed as to how a property owner or management team can allow their properties to fall to such levels. I know it's not a total budget issue, as you can operate on a thin budget and still have a spotless well kept property, set expectations hold staff accountable. Duct tape holding tile together in the elevators, walls dirty and chipped/damaged through out the property, cigarette and weed smoke smell throughout the property and halls, floors were nasty, sticky and grout not clean at all. Cleanliness in general was horrible. Our room has damaged walls around the door frame, curly hairs on the bathroom floor and shower, as well as curly hair in the bed sheets, we slept on top of the bed using our blankets from the truck. There was a party going on during our visit and the music from the bar was extremely loud down and throughout the guest floors, could not sleep, the music however did stop at 10pm, so we were thankful for that, but still quite painful when you really just wanted to get a fair nights sleep after a long day on the road. The restraunt was good, the server was friendly and helpful, the breakfast from the menu was good, will not complain at all in that respect. The room had a great view of the gulf, the bed itself was comfortable with the exception of not wanting to sleep under covers. Parking is a serious challenge as well for this property, limited on the hotel grounds and the alternative parking option is not convenient nor did it feel safe in the garage area. There are very likely better options very close by with the same or better amenities at or around the same price point.

This place needs some major updates. The bed frames are extremely sharp on the corners - all guests left with multiple bruises just from walking through the room. We booked the “resort” for the waterfall pool. Arrived and pool didn’t even have water in it. That should have been disclosed on the website. Furthermore, every employee said “even if it had water NO one can swim in that water cause it’s absolutely freezing.” Took 6 hours to dry one load of laundry. I would never have paid premium prices to stay here. Won’t be back.
