2 months agoThis hotel is very outdated. The rooms have spots on the carpet, water damage in the ceiling, rusted metal and other unpleasant issues. The staff is very friendly however they're Limited in what they're able to do. Ronna welcomed us to they hotel and check in. When addressed our issues the best she could with the kindest disposition. The riverfront view is very nice except your room is terrible. The highlight of the stay so far has been Rambo in the bar area. His joyful and witty ways helped us get through the dissatisfaction we had with our room. Update: The manager LaTonya or LaToya I can't remember.....she takes her job and customer service seriously. She made sure that the guests concerns were addressed. Give that woman a raise. She was caring and compassionate and did it with a smile. I appreciate her for taking care of the issues we encountered.

2 months agoThe service here is excellent and the staff has always been very helpful and inviting. However, this hotel charges a premium for rooms that are in drastic need of a refresh and are lacking in common amenities. Most rooms do not have a mini fridge or microwave. All of the furniture and fixtures are old and in many cases pretty beat up. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the down pillows brick up and make for an uncomfortable morning with a crick in the neck. Our bathroom was leaking and not very well clean, to the point where stepping in the shower w/o shoes seemed potentially risky. We were hanging out with 2 other couples and their rooms were pretty much the same as ours, across 3 different floors. Overall, we won't be back to this hotel. Better to spend the same money at one of the other hotels within a block of here that are much nicer.

2 months agoThe view was very nice but the room was in poor condition for it to be $248 total for one night. We only had half of roll of tissue. The shower was clogged so water was rising as we took our showers. There was no microwave or mini fridge nowhere in sight. Bed was cozy.

2 months agoI was extremely disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of this property. Upon check-in, there was trash left in the room, the bed appeared unmade or poorly made with wrinkled, untucked bedding, and I found hair in the bed and bathroom, bugs in the shower, and stains on the floors and ceiling. The hotel itself feels very run-down, with chipped and peeling furniture, holes and stains in the walls and ceiling, and dirty, stained soft surfaces (chairs, bedding, etc.) That said, the location is excellent — right on the riverfront with easy access via the Water Taxi to the Jaguars stadium, and the surrounding area is very walkable. I also want to note that the staff was accommodating, kind, and helpful to the best of their abilities in addressing the issues I raised. Unfortunately, the condition of the property does not align with the standards I expect.

2 months agoNightmare Hotel Due to Poor Management My trip was ruined due to we had to move to three different rooms within 24hrs after arriving. First room assigned bed was slept in and appeared to be occupied. Instead of the manager offering to have housekeeping reclean the room, I was offered another room even worse. The carpet was so bad and disgusting which later I found was a work room by previous construction men who had dropped tar all over the floor and this room should never have been assigned to anyone. I was told there weren't any other rooms and was not given any option to wait on another room even though the hotel was empty and we were there two hours before check in. Due to lack of resolve from the manager who didn't tell me she was the manager at the time of my complaint, I wasn't given a choice. I did not sleep comfortable because of the condition of the room. Another attempt from another associate was made to resolve my situation for my last day there for the next day only to be given a room with no hot water and we were the only one on that side of the hotel. I later found out by the associate from maintenance that this side usually have hot water issues and they were working on that so why were we assigned this room when management knew this and why were we the only one on this side of the hotel. There were other guests on this floor but on the other side where there were no issues with hot water. This caused me an emotional meltdown and I did not get rest peace relaxation or enjoyment. I got the opposite due to lack of professionalism and obviously an attempt to make sure my trip was anything but enjoyable because I made a comment regarding housekeeping. The manager never apologize, rectify my situation, resolve my situation. Instead, she made sure I was given rooms that were not clean and no hot water. Please do not stay at this hotel.
