a month agoOur stay at Tranquility Bay was wonderful. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need or want at all times. Our 2 bedroom villa was perfect...and very Clean. The kitchen was stocked with utensils...there was even a blender. Beds were comfortable and I slept soundly. The grounds of the resort are meticulously groomed daily. Pure paradise! The only down side was leaving. I will come back to Tranquility Bay as often as possible. I highly recommend this resort, you will not be disappointed.

4 weeks agoGreat place to relax. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pools are very nice and I enjoyed having the option of an adult pool! Food was a bit spendy, but you do have the option to stock up at the grocery store which isn't too far away. Sunsets are amazing here!

a month agoGreat resort. Gabriel (front desk) was fantastic. Sunday morning Yoga was just what the doctor ordered. Clean pool. Clean beaches. Main restaurant was excellent which it should be for that kind of $$$$. The Tiki Bar food was quite lame. Please stop serving those multi-colored chips with that store-bought guac. Everything else was great.

3 months agoRooms were decent. Starting to become a little outdated but very well kept. Service was great. All staff was very helpful. Very relaxing, low key, private resort with lots to offer. Quiet and "tranquil" for sure. Good for families as well. Great views. Prices seemed a hair steep compared to what other keys have to offer. Was cheaper to stay at a high end spot on the beach in downtown key West which was shocking. Food and drinks were okay but price was steep.

2 months agoOverall we enjoyed the property but the cost may not be worth it depending on what you are looking for. The property was beautiful and well maintained and 100% the highlight of this resort. We really enjoyed walking around and it really felt like a hidden oasis. A big reason we splurged for this property was the on-site beach access. Even after the seaweed was cleaned up we didn’t go in the water and didn’t see many others in there either. I’m not sure if it’s the side of the keys it’s on or if it’s the partition they have in the water, but the water felt a little stagnant. I would describe it as a lagoon, not a beach. If your intention is to spend the day at the beach and go swimming or snorkeling you are much better off driving the 8 minutes to Sombrero Beach! The pools were very nice and we really appreciated the adults only pool(s). We were a bit disappointed they close at sun down (which is 6:30 this time of year) as we would have definitely enjoyed some evening swimming. The rooms were fine - our view was the highlight and we spent almost no time inside. Overall clean and functional, but definitely showing its age. The beds were not great, they felt well used/sunken in. Overall I would describe the vibe as “beachy cottage”, not luxury resort. We stayed in a two room condo and were surprised how on top of our neighbors we were. Both the upstairs and downstairs patios were very exposed, so if you are looking for a romantic private patio be cautious staying in those units. We ended up not eating at the resort at all, partially due to price and we spent most of our time off property. This isn’t a hotel you are going to go walking off property down the street. There aren’t great sidewalks and there isn’t a lot in walking distance. There is a convenience store and cuban restaurant right across the street but you have to run through traffic as there is not crosswalk. Mostly everything else is a drive. If you don’t plan on leaving the property much and don’t care about the beach, then this is a great little oasis. Otherwise, this may not be worth the splurge.
